Hey, friend! I’m Rachel.

I’m a wife, mother, CM home educator, and lover of books… with a cup of tea on the side.

In my 39 years, I’ve lived a life full of doubts, messes, and mistakes.

Now, I find true joy and contentment in the mundane, the exhausting, the hard, and seemingly unbearable things that life has put before me… through Jesus Christ alone.

This is my hope for you, too.

My heart’s desire behind She Shall Not Want is that you would know these truths:

  • you are the perfect mother for your children
  • God loves you, even when it may seem like your husband and children do not
  • you know and have everything you need to educate your children at home
  • God can redeem your brokenness
  • you are seen, you are heard, and you are not alone
  • there is hope for the hopeless… yes, even your hopelessness
  • your story can be one of true joy and contentment… even when life is hard

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9–10
